It has been reported that WWE's next phase of releasing talent and officials could involve the NXT UK brand.

WWE announced the departure of ten main-roster superstars on April 15, 2021, the week following WrestleMania 37. The likes of Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were given their respective releases in what is sadly becoming an annual occurrence by the promotion.

This was followed by releases from NXT, which were confirmed last week, involving the likes of Alexander Wolfe and Jessamyn Duke.

According to Andrew Zaharian on the Mat Men Podcast, WWE may not be finished in releasing talent, with the black-and-gold brand's United Kingdom division reportedly next in line.

He said: "I heard [there’s] maybe some more to come. Some NXT UK talent."

NXT UK has been an official brand since 2018, after the first United Kingdom Championship tournament in 2016. The brand has taped recordings at BT Studios during the COVID-19 Pandemic, returning to air in September after halting in April due to the coronavirus.
