Throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, NXT has remained at Full Sail University. While Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw ultimately moved to the Amway Center, the black and gold brand decided not to follow.

According to POST Wrestling's John Pollock, production of NXT will be moving, but not to the ThunderDome. Instead, NXT will now be broadcast from the WWE Performance Center for the foreseeable future. The third brand's residency at the training facility will begin on Sunday with NXT TakeOver: 31.

205 Live will also be taped at the Performance Center going forward. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter this is a precautionary measure to prevent another coronavirus outbreak. There is a belief within WWE that some main roster talent may have contracted the virus after coming into contact with NXT Superstars at a 205 Live taping.

Meltzer also noted WWE is considering broadcasting NXT live every week again. No final decision has been made as of yet, though. The black and gold brand has continued to hold bi-weekly tapings at Full Sail University despite the main roster moving to the ThunderDome.
