Report: WWE 'Have An Idea' About Who Will Beat Roman Reigns For Undisputed WWE Universal Title
Looks like Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Title reign won’t last forever
Nov 7, 2022
With victory over Logan Paul at Crown Jewel on November 5, Roman Reigns further strengthened his grip on the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, but as we all know nothing lasts forever.
The belief was that before Vince McMahon’s exit WWE wasn’t planning ahead for life after Roman, but as there is a new regime running the show it seems as though there is serious consideration as for who could end ‘The Tribal Chief’s impressive reign, with Wrestlevotes telling Give Me Sport:
“They [WWE] have an idea of who is going to beat Roman. I don’t know specifically if it’s Cody [Rhodes]. I don’t know if it’s The Rock. I don’t know if it’s Bray [Wyatt]. But I think there’s a handful of guys that they would say ‘alright, this makes sense for future.’ But I don’t think it’s happening anytime soon, to be honest with you.”
None of the names mentioned would particularly shock any WWE fan, with Rhodes having been singled out as a potential future champion since his return at WrestleMania 38, whilst a long rumoured Rock/Roman has been talked about for WrestleMania 39 next year. As for Wyatt, the former WWE Champion has been leading merchandise sales in WWE since his return at Extreme Rules 2022.
However, it must be noted that these are just reported names, and nothing has been set in stone yet by WWE.
