The Revival look set to be on their way out of WWE when their contracts expire in April and May 2020. Both Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder have had a tumultuous relationship with the company since the beginning of 2019 when they both turned down new contracts. Since then, The Top Guys have been on the receiving end of multiple start-stop pushes and in the last couple of months they have been treated as glorified jobbers.

After Dawson and Wilder filed numerous trademarks, WWE removed them from the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match and replaced them with Lucha House Party. The former SmackDown Tag Team Champions have since been sent home, seemingly to see out their contracts on the sidelines.

This has left both Wilder and Dawson out of pocket, however. Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that The Revival are either no longer being paid or their pay has been "extremely scaled back" because they have exceeded their downside guarantees.

Ultimately, the downside guarantee is a set guaranteed amount that a WWE Superstar will earn in an annual year. However, wrestlers usually earn more than this by appearing at house shows and from merchandise sales.

With The Revival now on much lower pay than they have become accustomed to, the pair seem more likely than ever to leave WWE. While they have not voiced their preferred destination, many believe they will jump ship to All Elite Wrestling to face the likes of The Young Bucks, The Lucha Brothers and Santana & Ortiz.
