Report: WWE Fires Talent Relations Director Mark Carrano

Mark Carrano, WWE's Senior Director of Talent Relations (who has made numerous appearances on WWE's reality TV properties in that capacity), has reportedly been fired, according to several sources.

Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc reported on the firing, while Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has reported that several talents are of the belief that Carrano has been relieved of his duties.

Carrano's reported firing comes on the heels of recently-released WWE talent Mickie James revealing that her left-behind belongings had been sent to her in a garbage bag, labeled with her first name on a piece of green tape.

Maria Kanellis claimed that the same thing happened to her upon her release in 2020. Gail Kim added that the procedure has apparently been going on even before she first joined WWE.

Sapp's report states, "Several names within WWE have reached out to identify Mark Carrano as being the point of blame in the trash bag incidents to released talent. All of those who made contact with Fightful on the record say that they've also heard that he's been let go from the company.

"Carrano's role was already largely taken over by Johnny Ace [Laurinaitis], who made the calls to release talent last week, and also made calls to apologize to talent this evening. Ace stated to some of those talent that Carrano was responsible for the trash bag mishaps, and that "it had been taken care of" without explicitly stating Carrano had been fired at the time."

Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and John Laurinaitis have all tweeted that the person responsible has been fired, without explicitly naming them.

Sapp's report also notes, "We're told that it is very possible that Carrano being "out of WWE" means he could go without an official firing, but without having real duties."
