Since the August 21 episode of SmackDown, WWE has taped all main roster programming inside the ThunderDome at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The company agreed to an initial two-month residency with the arena but both parties can agree to either extend or shorten the lease.

WWE is already looking beyond the ThunderDome according to WrestleVotes. They reported the company has assembled a small team to look into running shows outdoors, preferably in the American South to avoid inclement weather.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "Over the past week or so, WWE assembled a small team to figure out if running TV from outdoors venues would be fesisble once the ThunderDome contract expires. Idea is both SD & RAW would be in same location each week. Southern states with good weather is the preference. All TBD."

WWE wouldn't be the first company to hold shows outdoors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Independent wrestling promotions Warrior Wrestling and GCW have been running events at outdoor venues over the past few months.
