Report: Vince McMahon Appearance Under Consideration For WWE Royal Rumble

Vince McMahon could reportedly be set for a shock appearance at the Royal Rumble.

Jake Skudder of Fight Fans has claimed there are discussions within WWE about Vince McMahon making an appearance at the January 28 pay-per-view. There is no word on what McMahon would be doing on the show, only that he could be appearing on camera at the Rumble.

Furthermore, Skudder noted a McMahon appearance is one of many things being discussed for the event.

Vince McMahon returned to WWE on January 5 by electing himself, George Barrios, and Michelle Wilson to the Board of Directors. McMahon has since been elected as Executive Chairman and Stephanie McMahon has resigned from the company.

The 77-year-old is currently in the process of pursuing a sale of WWE ahead of any TV rights negotiations and the likes of Disney, the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, and All Elite Wrestling are said to be in the pool of bidders.

McMahon had previously been out of WWE following his resignation as CEO and Chairman in July 2022 due to a sexual misconduct and hush money scandal. McMahon remained majority shareholder, though, and he reportedly threatened in December to block any potential sale or media rights deal unless he returned to the organisation as Executive Chairman.
