Sting competed in his final professional wrestling match at Night Of Champions 2015 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a losing effort to Seth Rollins. He was ultimately forced to retire from in-ring action after the match as he was suffering from cervical spinal stenosis.

Despite his retirement, The Stinger still hopes he will have one more match against The Undertaker.

Even as recently as November, Sting

said he still advocates for the match with Vince McMahon and Triple H, but even he admitted it was "insanity."

While he may not have come out of retirement at the show,

Mike Johnson at PWInsider

reported on January 26 that The Icon was set to make an appearance at Super ShowDown, WWE's next pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia.

However,

Johnson

has now reported that talks between Sting and WWE have "died down" and the former WCW star will no longer appear at the event.

Johnson wrote: "As noted several weeks ago in the Elite section of PWInsider.com, there had been a push for Sting to be used at the 2/27 event, but as of last night, we are told those talks have died down."

Fans don't need to worry, however, as reports indicate that both

Hulk Hogan

and

Goldberg

will be in attendance in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
