Amidst the George Floyd protests, WWE Superstar Jaxson Ryker was condemned by his fellow wrestlers and others within the wrestling world after he tweeted support for President Donald Trump. The WWE Hall Of Famer's rhetoric on the protests has been widely criticised.
After the tweet, reports noted the WWE locker room was "fuming" with Ryker and The Forgotten Sons haven't been on WWE TV since.
Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful revealed yesterday the team of Ryker, Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake were in line for a push on the blue brand and were set to feud with The New Day over the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, but have been pulled from TV after Ryker's tweet.
Sapp noted there's no heat on Blake or Cutler, and the two Superstars even came in for a meeting with Mark Carrano and other wrestlers, but they are still "catching the backlash" from Ryker's activity on social media. Some on the roster were also surprised by the former marine's tweet as he was well-liked in the locker room and was "very respectful."
