Sonjay Dutt has reportedly left his role as a producer for WWE.

Dutt had been working with Vince McMahon's promotion in a producer role since January 2019 and hasn't wrestled since sustaining an Achilles injury in late 2017. The former IMPACT X Division Champion has however, according to Fightful Select, now left WWE.

While the report indicates that details regarding Dutt's future are limited, it is suggested that the decision to leave WWE was Dutt's own, with PWInsider offering more insight. The 39-year-old reportedly handed in his notice a few weeks ago and his time with WWE has now come to an end.

During his time with WWE, Dutt worked as a producer for the NXT brand and also served as a coach. There has been no indication what Dutt will do next.

Fightful's report also goes on to suggest that there are further changes to come backstage in WWE in the coming days and weeks, with some 'big' updates expected in the near future.
