Report: Reason Roman Reigns-Bray Wyatt WWE Feud Was Scrapped Revealed
The Fiend was originally supposed to get his rematch...

Back on the September 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Bray Wyatt introduced the audience at home to Wobbly Walrus, the latest Firefly Fun House puppet. The puppet was an obvious spoof of Roman Reigns' new manager Paul Heyman and was seemingly there to plant the seeds for an eventual Universal Championship feud.
Previous reports have noted that The Big Dog was originally going to face The Fiend at Hell In A Cell, but WWE opted to scrap the feud and move The Eater Of Worlds to Monday Night Raw. Reigns faced his cousin Jey Uso inside the steel structure instead.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the feud was cancelled because there are "forces" working backstage in WWE to protect Reigns from bad booking and they believed a feud with Wyatt wouldn't help The Tribal Chief.
WWE has often found The Fiend a difficult character to book since he debuted last year and Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor have all turned heel either during or after their feuds with Wyatt.
