Report: Reason Edge Was Kicked Out Of Judgement Day Revealed

Edge was kicked out of his Judgement Day faction on the June 6 edition of Monday Night Raw, with Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, and new member Finn Balor declaring the WWE Hall Of Famer limited their potential. Edge was then beaten down by his former allies and WWE later announced he had suffered a non-displaced orbital floor fracture.

Initial reports noted Edge was pulled from the faction seemingly because of his opposition to WWE's plans to take the group in a supernatural direction. In an update, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Edge's opposition was indeed the reason he was removed from Judgement Day and the decision to take him out of the stable was made at the last minute.

"The turn was kind of a last-minute thing. I don't know if it was Monday or Sunday but he was told they wanted to go in a supernatural direction with the group and he didn't like the idea so they just said, 'Well we'll take you out of the group,'" Meltzer stated.

Edge has since transitioned back to the babyface side of the Raw roster. There is no word on when he will return to WWE TV.
