The Backlash 2023 premium live event was a roaring success for hometown hero Bad Bunny, who emerged victorious in his San Juan Street Fight against Damian Priest in a match which saw returns of the likes of Savio Vega and Carlito to WWE, much to the joy of the Puerto Rican crowd.

After how well the match went down, it seems as though WWE wants him to work in the company again in the near future. WRKD Wrestling reported on twitter that SummerSlam could be a possibility for a future date.

“In case it wasn’t apparent, Bad Bunny’s Backlash match absolutely exceeded expectations backstage with many superstars lined up at Gorilla to celebrate with him. There’s hopes backstage in using him in some form for SummerSlam.”

Bad Bunny has previously wrestled at WrestleMania 37 and Royal Rumble 2022, and both instances saw him get big reactions from the crowd. In terms of celebrity performers in WWE, his success between the ropes has been among the most consistent and well-received by the audience.
