WWE has reportedly permanently replaced Paul Heyman as one of the hosts of WWE Talking Smack.

Heyman had been one of the hosts of the popular, weekly WWE talk shows, which aired on Saturday mornings following SmackDown on Friday Nights. However, Heyman was no where to be seen on last week's episode, with commentator Pat McAfee taking his place alongside regular host Kayla Braxton.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Heyman's absence from the show last week was not a one-time thing and he has now been permanently replaced by McAfee as the co-host with Braxton.

The report indicates that there is no 'real' reason behind the decision besides WWE just opting to make a change. Heyman is regularly seen on SmackDown on a weekly basis in his role as the special counsel to Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Heyman's departure from Talking Smack will undoubtedly be met with sadness from fans. His unscripted interactions with members of the SmackDown talent roster in the past few months - including the likes of Edge, Big E, Apollo Crews and Kevin Owens - has been some of the most compelling promo work on WWE's weekly television shows.
