Report: Most Of Paul Heyman's Ideas For WWE Raw Weren't Used
Numerous rejected ideas...
Jun 19, 2020
Back on June 11, WWE announced Paul Heyman had been replaced as Executive Director of Monday Night Raw by Bruce Prichard.
The company's official reason was that they wanted to streamline the creative process, but Heyman was reportedly replaced because of falling ratings and Vince McMahon doubted the Superstars Brock Lesnar's advocate was pushing would get over with the audience at home.
Heyman was seemingly in for the long haul on Monday nights as his aim was to create new stars over the next two years and had pushed the likes of Aleister Black, Andrade, Angel Garza and Drew McIntyre on the red brand in recent months.
While Heyman was able to push these stars, Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful reported most of his ideas never made it to TV. This involved Superstars he tried to prominently feature as well as storylines he wanted to execute. Sapp noted that the locker room didn't blame the former executive director when his ideas were tossed out.
WWE has already made significant changes to Raw since replacing Heyman and have placed ageing stars like The Big Show and Ric Flair in prominent positions on the company's flagship show.
