Report: Mandy Rose Released By WWE
Mandy Rose has reportedly been released from her WWE contract
Dec 14, 2022
Less than 24 hours after dropping the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez, it is being reported that Mandy Rose has been released by WWE.
The report comes courtesy of Fightful Select who suggest that Rose was released by WWE due to what WWE saw as ‘explicit content’ being shared by Rose on her personal BrandArmy page. WWE considered Rose’s content outside the parameters of her WWE contract.
Fightful had earlier reported that Rose dropping the title to Perez was an ‘abrupt’ decision.
Rose joined WWE in 2015, signing an initial five-year contract with the company after coming second on Tough Enough. After wrestling on NXT, Rose would be called up to WWE's main roster in 2017, forming Absolution with Sonya Deville and Paige, later branching off into the tag team Fire & Desire with Deville.
Rose would later wind up as the unlikely love interest of Otis in 2020, before returning to the revamped NXT 2.0 in July 2021. Rose would quickly establish herself as the number one competitor in the NXT women’s division, forming Toxic Attraction with Gigi Dollin and Jacy Jane, before defeating Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Championship at halloween havoc 2021. Rose would hold the title for 413 days before dropping the belt to Roxanne Perez, with Rose having the third longest reign in NXT Women’s Championship history behind Asuka and Shayna Baszler.
