Report: Joe Gacy Planned For WWE Main Roster Call-Up

The 2024 WWE Draft saw several NXT wrestlers receive their official main roster call-ups, and these included Carmelo Hayes, Ilja Dragunov, Lyra Valkyria, Kiana James, and Blair Davenport. WWE might not be done with main roster call-ups though, as a report has suggested that another name is bound for either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown.

According to a report from PWInsider, NXT’s Joe Gacy was spotted at WWE Headquarters, with this visit being in relation to a move up to the main roster. There has been a lot of talk of Gacy making a move away from NXT, with many speculating that he may become involved with the apparent new faction led by the returning Bo Dallas. The assumption is that recently re-signed Erick Rowan will also be a part of this act.

Gacy signed with WWE in 2020, joining the developmental system. The 36 year old began his time in NXT with a character who campaigned for wanting to make NXT a “safe space”. He developed more of a darker character in the months that followed, eventually leading his own faction called The Schism, which featured both the Grizzled Young Veterans and now General Manager of NXT, Ava.
