Last night, Edge and Randy Orton battled back and forth for over 44 minutes in a widely praised singles match. While the bout was always going to fail to live up to the billing of The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever, the consensus is that it was one of WWE's best matches in the last 10 years and is a candidate for match of the year.

We'll have to wait a little while to see the third chapter in Edge and Orton's rivalry, however, as Fightful reported The Rated-R Superstar tore his tricep at the pay-per-view. When the 11-time world champion will be back in action remains to be seen but the recovery time for a torn tricep is usually at least eight months.

How Edge suffered the injury is currently unknown but Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that it happened during the second round of tapings, which is why The Ultimate Opportunist wasn't in any noticeable discomfort at the end of the show.

Meltzer said: "I was told the injury was during the second taping when they went through other stuff."
