Edge will reportedly return to in-ring action at WWE SummerSlam 2021 and is pencilled in to perform as a babyface.

The Rated R Superstar hasn't been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 37, where the 2021 Royal Rumble winner came up short in a Triple Threat Match with Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship.

The WWE Hall Of Famer has reportedly been on agreed time off but it appears fans can look forward to seeing Edge step back into the ring at The Biggest Party Of The Summer in August.

Sports journalist Jon Alba is reporting that Edge is pencilled in for the SummerSlam 2021 card and has been put on the babyface side of the roster for the event. Edge's character went into a grey area during his feud with Reigns and Bryan, after attacking the latter in the main event of Fast Lane in March.

Edge is also being advertised by WWE for the July 16 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Houston, Texas, on what will be the first night fans are permitted to return to events as the promotion kick-off touring once again.
