Report: Dakota Kai Flown In "Last Minute" For WWE SmackDown

On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the injured Dakota Kai followed up her surprise SummerSlam appearance with another cameo.

During the opening match of the show, Charlotte Flair took on Asuka in a singles bout, but the match went to a no contest when the brand new WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY and her Damage CTRL ally Bayley surrounded the ring and attacked the Flair and Asuka, standing tall.

The third member of Damage CTRL Dakota Kai was also present to play cheerleader to the pair. It should be noted that Kai didn’t get physical, as she is still a ways off returning to the ring following her injury. PWInsider noted though that this appearance for Kai, much like her one at SummerSlam, came together at the last minute.

“Dakota Kai was not initially scheduled for Smackdown we are told.  The story backstage making the rounds was that once again, she was called at the last minute to fly into the taping, just as she was Summerslam.”
