WWE’s recent Money in the Bank 2022 event saw over 12,000 fans pack into the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, after the show was moved from the much larger Allegiant Stadium.

The reason for the move was believed to be due to ‘low ticket sales’ with somewhere in the region of 20,000 tickets sold for the 65,000 plus seater stadium before the venue change was confirmed.

Per a report from Fightful, the move from Allegiant surprised many backstage in WWE, with the push for more of WWE’s ‘premium live events’ to be held at massive stadiums one of Nick Khan’s major plans for the company.

Whilst some have pegged this as a rare ‘misfire’ from Khan, WWE are still believed to be very happy with how Money in the Bank turned out, despite injuries to Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, with one source telling Fightful "well, considering we couldn't have predicted all of that, and the event sold out at the new location, it doesn't look too bad."
