Asuka has been missing from WWE television since taking a stiff kick to the head on the February 22 edition of Raw, and reports suggest her injury woes could potentially keep her out of WrestleMania 37.

The Raw Women's champion was legitimately hurt in a tag team match, which put herself and Charlotte Flair against WWE Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, when the latter kicked her in the face, resulting in a broken tooth and a concussion.

Asuka has not been seen on RAW since, although Flair has made clear her intentions to challenge her for the RAW Women's Title on 'The Grandest Stage Of Them All', but the nature of Asuka's injury could keep her off of the WrestleMania card.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that, due to the nature of concussion injuries, Asuka could be cleared to return as soon as next week or could not be allowed to return to action for some time.

With four weeks until WrestleMania 37, there is enough time between now and the event that it is probable she will be able to compete, but her inclusion on the card is by no means a sure thing.

Asuka's absence from WrestleMania would be a huge blow for all parties. The RAW Women's Champion has been a standout performer for WWE during the COVID-19 Pandemic over the last 12 months and has rightfully earned the opportunity to enter the company's annual flagship event in a top match.

Should Asuka not be able to compete, WWE face the possibility of needing to rewrite plans regarding Charlotte for a third time. Flair was initially scheduled for a match with Lacey Evans, reportedly for the Raw Women's Title, but Evans' pregnancy saw that contest changed to a one-on-one bout with Asuka instead.
