Report: AOP To Be Off WWE TV For At Least Seven Months
They will have to worship their messiah from afar...
Mar 30, 2020
Since the November 25 episode of Monday Night Raw, AOP have been featured prominently on WWE TV alongside Seth Rollins and Murphy. Both Akam and Rezar have competed in a multitude of multi-man matches against Kevin Owens and his numerous allies, helping The Monday Night Messiah achieve victory after victory.
Their time on TV looks to have come to an end, however, as Rezar tore his right biceps during an eight-man tag team match against The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders on March 9. The former Raw Tag Team Champion appeared to be in some discomfort and Dave Meltzer confirmed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rezar has since undergone surgery which will keep him on the sidelines for seven to eight months.
WWE has also decided not to use Akam in his tag team partner's absence meaning Seth Rollins' faction will be without two of its key members for a significant period.
For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer penned: "Geza Selmani, aka Rezar of AOP has had surgery to repair his torn right biceps. That usually means seven or eight months out. Right now the decision is not to use Akam without him so as of right now there are no plans for either of them for appearing on television."
