Back on June 25, Renee Young (Renee Paquette) tweeted that she had tested positive for COVID-19. Adam Pearce, Kayla Braxton and Jamie Noble later confirmed they had also been diagnosed with coronavirus, but the actual number of positive cases within the company was reportedly upwards of 30.

At the time, reports noted WWE had failed to reach out to Young to find out how she was doing, yet they had made sure to let her know they were unhappy about her tweet.

Young confirmed the reports were true during a recent appearance on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast. Paquette also noted that she was "bothered" by her employer's lack of concern for her wellbeing.

"It was not well received," the former WWE commentator said. "I tweeted it in the evening, evening west coast time. So, by the time I woke up, there was like a couple of texts. Not like, 'You shouldn't have posted it,' but it was like, 'We really wish that you gave us a heads up that you were gonna post it. It was bad for PR,' and whatnot. But again, I wouldn't have even thought to be like, 'Hey guys, I'm gonna tweet that I have COVID haha.' That was just not what I was thinking about when I posted about it."

She later added: "Listen, anything I say on this is going to end up seeming like controversial or like I'm like s******g on it or whatever, but like, yeah. Did I feel a little slighted? I didn't really feel like anyone was all that concerned that I got sick. That bothered me, for sure."
