The new year is here and 2024 promises to be another big year for professional wrestling with WWE the hottest they have been for several years and All Elite Wrestling's United States TV deal set to expire at the end of the year, with the possibility of a new deal that could make AEW profitable for the first time in the air.

Royal Rumble is traditionally WWE's first pay-per-view of the year but that wasn't the case in 2022 as WWE presented Day 1 on January 1, 2022 from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was a one-and-done affair, although it has since been revived as a special episode of Monday Night Raw for 2024.
