Pat McAfee has revealed he will be back on commentary on WWE Friday Night SmackDown this week after returning a negative test for coronavirus.
McAfee, despite being double-vaccinated against COVID-19, tested positive for the virus following SummerSlam 2021 and has missed the last two SmackDown broadcasts. Corey Graves and Kevin Owens filled in for McAfee on the first week, while Graves partnered with Michael Cole last week on the blue brand.
McAfee has now taken to social media to reveal he is no longer testing positive for coronavirus and will be making his SmackDown comeback on this week's episode at Madison Square Garden.
This week's SmackDown from MSG is set to feature the return of Brock Lesnar to WWE television, following his shock comeback at SummerSlam last month. The show will also feature a SummerSlam rematch between Edge and Seth Rollins, while Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair will sign the contract for their SmackDown Women's Championship match at Extreme Rules 2021.
John Cena has also been advertised for the show but it is expected he will only be in attendance for the live crowd. Cena is advertised for a six-man tag, teaming with the Street Profits against Roman Reigns and The Usos.
