A new developmental talent made their WWE debut at this week's taping of NXT Level Up.

WWE taped the show ahead of Tuesday's edition of NXT and Ikemen Jiro was in action with a new tag team partner. That partner was the debuting Tank Ledger and he and Jiro went on to defeat Duke Hudson and Bryson Montana. The match will air on Friday, October 14.

Real name Joe Spivak, Ledger joined WWE in 2021 as part of their NIL programme. He played American Football at Northwestern University and is 6' 1" and 310 lbs.

WWE have focused on recruiting college athletes over the past year, primarily through the NIL programme. The company have started to look at bringing in more independent wrestlers since Triple H took over as Chief Content Officer, though, and WWE are said to be interested in the likes of Matt Taven and Bandido.

Also taped for Level Up was an Ivy Nile win over Lash Legend and a victory for Myles Borne over Dante Chen.
