Montez Ford has reportedly been impressing people of influence in WWE, with many higher-ups believing the Street Profits star has the potential to be a big player for the promotion.

Ford has regularly caught the eye on WWE television since being called up to the main roster with tag-team partner Angelo Dawkins, and the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion recently received a huge opportunity to impress when he took on Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of Friday Night SmackDown in mid-September.

According to GiveMeSport, Ford was put in that spot by WWE officials as a form of 'trial' in order to see how he would perform as a top-level singles star, with the 31-year-old reportedly passing the test with flying colours.

It has previously been noted that WWE considered splitting up the Street Profits during the recent draft in order to begin Ford's singles push, but opted against doing so, noting that the door is still open for the promotion to begin his singles run with Dawkins on the same brand.

Ford and Dawkins were moved over to Monday Night Raw, per GiveMeSport's report, in order to give Ford more top talent to work with and learn from. Ford's conduct and performances in the past few months have earned him rave reviews from higher ups, which is why he is seriously being considered for bigger opportunities.

It is worth nothing that both members of the Street Profits have been highly commended by WWE officials for their work-rate and drive to be even better.
