Six months have passed since Rob Gronkowski won his third Super Bowl title with the New England Patriots, his final NFL game before retiring from the sport in late March. At 30 years old and with a wealth of other opportunities in front of him, "Gronk" has apparently been considering a move into professional wrestling.

Gronkowski's close friend Mojo Rawley

spoke with CBS Baltimore

about the NFL All Pro's prospects and inclinations, more than two years after Gronkowski helped Rawley win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WrestleMania 33 Kickoff show.

Said Rawley, "Right now he’s doing nothing. He’s going to lay low and stay off the television a little bit and heal up. He’ll reflect and make that next move and make that decision carefully.

"But in the future, we have talked about it extensively. Wrestling is something that he both loves watching, and that little bit of taste he had in the ring with me at WrestleMania a couple years ago with me got him all fired up. So, he’s ready to do something at some point."
