Mark Andrews recently welcomed fellow WWE NXT UK Superstar Trent Seven onto the My Love Letter To Wrestling podcast, and spoke about the success of Pete Dunne. Now renamed Butch as a member of the SmackDown roster, the former NXT Superstar has teamed with both Seven and Andrews in his career. The latter had the following to say about his fellow Brit's rise:

"Going back to what you said about Pete a minute ago, [it was a] really nice touch about Pete being so advanced and so far ahead of everybody else in-ring. I mean he still is to be honest. The nicest thing is that he wasn’t appreciated really by anyone in the scene other than people close to him, until William Regal saw him. Of course Regal sees talent when he sees it, and suddenly as soon as he gave him the 'this kid is the future' everyone leaped on. [...] Suddenly PROGRESS booked him really well, and suddenly everyone was like oh, if Regal said it then we’ll all do it. It was like 'Ah! We knew for years!'"

Now under the Butch ringname, Dunne appeared on night two of WrestleMania 38, accompanying Sheamus and Ridge Holland in their tag team match against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Although the name change was largely not well-received by fans on social media, Dunne was arguably the focal point of the match despite not being an official competitor.

Regal recently made his debut as an onscreen figure in AEW, adopting a managerial role for Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley - collectively known as the Blackpool Combat Club.
