The Cultaholic Wrestling Championship will also be on the line as Ross Tweddell, Adam Pacitti, Jack King, Sam Driver, and Tom Campbell gave their predictions as to what they expect to happen at The Show Of Shows earlier. Check out the video below:
Kickoff Show: Cesaro def. Drew Gulak
In the opening moments, Cesaro twice went for the Neutralizer but Gulak countered with submissions, first locking in an Armbar, and then the Crossface. The pair then fought around the ringside area as the former Cruiserweight Champion targeted The Swiss Cyborg's right shoulder, twice tossing him into the steel steps.
Gulak then rolled Cesaro into the ring and went to the top rope but was caught by a European Uppercut. The pair then exchanged counters and Cesaro connected with another European Uppercut. Having eliminated the pain in his shoulder, Cesaro picked up his opponent and delivered an Airplane Spin for the 1-2-3.
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross def. The Kabuki Warriors To Win The Women's Tag Team Championships
JBL joins Michael Cole on commentary for WrestleMania 36. They failed to abide by social distancing measures, however, as they were most definitely not sat two metres apart.
All four Superstars taunted each other in the early going, with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross picking up a quick near fall. The challengers worked over Asuka, delivering some tandem offence with quick tags. The Empress Of Tomorrow managed to get herself back into the match, however, as she took the action to the outside and tossed Bliss into the barricade.
It was then The Kabuki Warriors' turn to dominate the bout as they delivered some vicious strikes to Nikki Cross, stopping her from tagging her partner. Sane and Asuka proceeded to cut the ring in half, stopping the former Sanity member from getting anywhere near her corner and delivering some underhanded offence when the referee was distracted.
Later in the bout, the challengers managed to get back into the contest and seemingly had the match won when Cross covered Asuka but Sane delivered an Insane Elbow to break up the pin. The Empress Of Tomorrow then locked in the Asuka Lock on Cross but Alexa stopped her partner from tapping out as she connected with Twisted Bliss.
The champions proceeded to hit a modified Doomsday Device but only managed to get another near fall as Cross showed her resilience. This ultimately paid off for the challengers as Nikki hit a Spinning Neckbreaker and tagged in Bliss. The five-time Women's champion then hit Twisted Bliss on Sane for the victory.
With that, we have new Women's Tag Team Champions in Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross.
Elias def. King Corbin
Elias made his entrance and before the contest began, he smashed his guitar across King Corbin's back. One the match did begin, The Drifter charged at Corbin and delivered a vicious onslaught with repeated chops, punches, and knees.
Corbin managed to get himself back into the match as he tossed Elias to the outside. He then worked over his opponent and screamed at Michael Cole and JBL at the announcers table and at the referee.
Having been beaten down by Corbin, Elias rallied and hit his opponent with a modified Cutter for a two count. The former Raw general manager then countered with a Deep Six for his own near fall.
Later, Corbin tried to steal the win as he covered Elias and placed his feet on the ropes. The official was not fooled, however, and while The King argued with her, The Drifter rolled up Corbin and grabbed a handful of tights for the win.
Becky Lynch def. Shayna Baszler To Retain The Raw Women's Championship
Many expected this match to be later in the show but here we are, Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler for the Raw Women's Championship.
The Man dominated the opening moments of the match as she tossed Baszler into the steel steps on the outside and delivered a Dropkick from the top rope. Lynch went for the Dis-Arm-Her twice but was unable to lock it in. This allowed Baszler to regain some momentum, but the champion quickly quelled this with a vicious knee.
Lynch then scaled the top rope and as she tried to hit another Dropkick, Baszler countered with a Knee and locked in an Armbar. The Man rolled out of it but Baszler applied her own Dis-Arm-Her to Becky.
The pair then exchanged submissions on the ropes as Lynch locked in her signature move but The Queen Of Spades countered into a Kirifuda Clutch.
With Lynch prone, Baszler picked her up and swung her lifeless body into the announcers table. With the champion reeling, Baszler locked in the Kirifuda Clutch in the centre of the ring but The Man managed to shift her weight into a pin for the 1-2-3.
With that, Becky Lynch leaves The Showcase Of The Immortals as the Raw Women's Champion.
Sami Zayn def. Daniel Bryan To Retain The Intercontinental Championship
Sami Zayn spent the first five minutes of the match running around the ring as Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura blocked off Daniel Bryan from getting to the champion. Eventually, Drew Gulak entered the fray as he took out The Artist Collective with a Barrel Roll to the outside.
Bryan then got Zayn into the ring and proceeded to beat down The Underdog From The Underground as he pleaded for mercy. Bryan then slapped, punched, and kicked Zayn as the champion screamed in pain and almost burst into tears.
After a long nap, Cesaro and Nakamura woke up and put Gulak out of commission. With Bryan distracted, Sami got to his feet and as The Leader Of The Yes! Movement flew through the air, he connected with a standing Helluva Kick.
With the challenger unconscious, Sami covered him for the pinfall victory.
John Morrison def. Kofi Kingston and Jimmy Uso To Retain The SmackDown Tag Team Championships
All three Superstars quickly grabbed a ladder and fought over the titles in the centre of the ring. They then each took turns fondling the championships until they were pulled from the ladder.
Kingston was quickly put out of commission by Morrison and Jimmy and the surviving wrestlers proceeded to fight each other. Jimmy Uso himself was sent tumbling to the outside as The Prince Of Parkour connected with Starship Pain onto a ladder.
As The Shaman Of Sexy scaled the ladder, Kofi regained his strength and leaped from the rope to the ladder and caught Morrison with a Hurricanrana.
The action then tumbled to the outside and after a brief brawl, Kofi placed a ladder between the ring and the barricade and lay Jimmy across it. No one would go through it, however, as Morrison walked the tight rope to Kingston and connected with a Spanish Fly. Uso then suddenly sprang into life and landed a Splash onto the champion.
With Kingston and Morrison prone in the ring, Jimmy tried to reach the titles but the former WWE Champion regained his strength and climbed up the inside of the ladder to stop Jimmy. Kofi gained the upper hand and tossed Uso from the ladder, only to be stopped by Morrison. After knocking Morrison from the ladder, Kingston hit him with the Double Knees.
Later in the bout, Jimmy Uso tried to put the champion through a ladder but Morrison woke up and threw him to the outside. The Shaman Of Sexy then reached the titles but Kofi dragged himself up the ladder to halt the champion's advance. Jimmy Uso then rejoined the fray and all three Superstars teetered on two ladders as each held onto the titles.
They managed to unclip the championships and all three held on. Jimmy Uso then hit Morrison with a vicious Headbutt sending The Prince Of Parkour tumbling from the ladder with both belts.
With that, John Morrison fortuitously retained the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins
This extremely personal rivalry quickly boiled over as Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins threw fists at each other. K.O. then almost ruined the return of the white pants as he tried to end Rollins' career with a Pop-Up Powerbomb on the ring apron. Luckily for many fans, The Monday Night Messiah countered into a Falcon Arrow.
As Owens lay prone on the outside, Rollins delivered a beautiful sermon and hit his opponent with a Suicide Dive.
The action then re-entered the squared circle and each got in their fair share of offence before K.O. gained control with a Frog Splash.
A nice exchange soon followed as Owens went for the Stunner but Rollins countered into an Enziguri and as Kevin bounced off the ropes, he countered into a Clothesline.
The two then scaled the top rope but Rollins tried to land a Sunset Powerbomb but failed, which allowed Owens to hit a Pop-Up Powerbomb for a near fall.
The action then collapsed to the outside and Seth Rollins smashed Owens across the face with the ringbell. The referee called for the disqualification but as Rollins made his way to the back, Owens egged The Monday Night Messiah back to the ring and the contest was declared a No Disqualification match.
The two proceeded to beat each other with weapons as Rollins hit Owens with the steel steps and a chair while K.O. got his revenge and hit Seth with the ringbell. All WWE fans then got their wish as Chris Jericho's former best friend scaled the WrestleMania sign and launched himself from it to put his opponent through the announcers table.
After regaining his composure, Owens dragged Rollins into the ring and as The Monday Night Messiah begged for forgiveness, the former Universal Champion delivered a hellacious Stunner for the victory.
Braun Strowman def. Goldberg To Win The Universal Championship
A 53-year-old man entered WrestleMania as Universal Champion. That same 53-year-old then hit four Spears inside the first minute.
As the champion went for the Jackhammer, Strowman managed to counter into a Running Powerslam.
The Monster Among Men then connected with three more Running Powerslams for the pinfall victory.
The Undertaker def. AJ Styles
Two grim reapers delivered who we believed was The Undertaker to the boneyard. However, as the casket was pulled out of the hearse, AJ Styles climbed out. He then called out The Deadman and American Badass Undertaker officially announced his return as he drove to the boneyard on a motorcycle wearing a bandana and a biker vest.
No referee was in attendance so it seemingly became an unannounced Buried Alive match
After throwing jibes at one another, the match quickly devolved into a fist fight as both Styles and Taker fired punches at each other on and around the hearse.
With Styles placed in the grave, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made their presence felt as they revealed six grim reapers from inside a shed. The pawns surrounded The Phenom but he made quick work of them before he was attacked by The O.C.
After Taker took down Gallows and Anderson, Styles emerged from the grave and took The American Badass to the ground with a slab of concrete. As The Deadman writhed in pain, Styles delivered some vicious punches but broke his finger in the process.
Styles then managed to get Taker inside the grave but as he started up the tractor on his way to victory, The Phenom suddenly appeared behind him. In shock, AJ scurried to a farmhouse roof but his escape was halted as The Undertaker unleashed a ring of flames behind him.
Taker then fought off The O.C. as he Tombstoned Karl Anderson and tossed Luke Gallows from the top of the farmhouse. In disbelief at Taker's survival, Styles succumbed to a Chokeslam from the roof.
Soon after, AJ begged for forgiveness and asked Taker not to bury him, but he was not prepared to forgive and forget and The Phenom delivered a hellacious Big Boot to his opponent, sending him falling into his grave. The Deadman then started up the tractor and buried AJ Styles under six feet of mud.
With that, AJ Styles will now rest in peace.
