After several decades with the company, Kevin Dunn officially departed WWE last week.

While Dunn may have 'retired' from WWE, an update from PWInsider Elite suggests that the former Chief of Global Television Distribution will not be retiring altogether.

The site noted that Dunn finished up with WWE of his volition and is looking into potential film and television projects. He is not expected to work for any other wrestling organisation.

It added that, while Dunn was praised by WWE President Nick Khan on the way out, the growing belief is that he exited the company as he felt disrespected and was a 'Vince McMahon guy'. The situation was described as being frayed in recent weeks and getting 'uglier' even after Dunn handed in his notice during Christmas week.

After so long of essentially being in charge of WWE's television production output, it was said that Dunn wasn't going to let anyone else dictate how he ran the ship.

As far as Dunn's potential replacement, reports indicate that Chris Kaiser, WWE's Executive Vice President of Television, could succeed him. Kaiser has been a key figure behind the scenes for almost a decade.
