Former WWE star Ken Kennedy has the distinction of being the last-ever opponent of the late, great Eddie Guerrero.

Kennedy lost to Latino Heat via disqualification at the November 8, 2005, SmackDown taping (the show aired three days later).

Guerrero passed away on November 13, aged 38.

Speaking with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston, the former United States Champion talked bout what it was like to have Eddie's last match and what the Hall of Famer told him when they got backstage.

"I don't know how to answer that question. Honestly, like, it just sucks that he's gone. I'm happy that I was able to be a part of his history at all. Just the fact that I was able to get in the ring with him a few times and learn from him. I remember after that match that night, we came back and he had some, you know, trying to get me to slow down a little bit. It's just like, 'You gotta listen to the people a little more', and if I watch back, I could see those areas, those parts where I was rushing. But I don't know. It was just a great honor to have wrestled him at all, and unfortunately, it just sucks that it happens to be his last match".

In a strange coincidence, just over four years later, Kennedy would also have the last match of Umaga's life.

Kennedy (wrestling as Mr. Anderson) beat the Samoan Bulldozer (wrestling as Uso Fatu) on November 28, 2009, in Sydney, Australia as part of the Hulkamania Let the Battle Begin tour.

Fatu passed away on December 4, aged 36.
