Muhammad Hassan's WWE career was short but spectacular.

After debuting in late 2004, Hassan got to work with legends like Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Batista, John Cena, The Undertaker and others, before being written off television in July of 2005 (following a controversial angle that aired on the same day as the July 7 London bombings).

Behind the scenes, however, things were not easy for the man who played the Hassan character - Marc Copani.

Copani (who was in his mid-20s at the time) was supposedly given a very hard time backstage due to his perceived lack of locker room etiquette.

According to former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman, some members of the WWE roster made Copani's life a 'living hell'.

Responding to a tweet that showed the current-day Copani (who works as a Principal at a high school in New York), Coachman wrote: "I have never felt worse for an incoming talent than this man right here. Certain people (not everyone) made his life a living hell. So glad to see he got out and is doing wonderful it looks like".

Copani retired from the business after being released by WWE, though he did come out of retirement to wrestle a few matches for independent promotion The Dynasty in 2018.
