A lawyer representing former WWE employee Janel Grant is hopeful that Vince McMahon will be indicted soon.

Attorney Ann Callis is representing Grant, who filed a lawsuit against McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE earlier this year. Callis paused her case in June (until December 11), following a request from the United States Department of Justice.

During a media call on September 19, Callis said that she and Grant hoped an indictment related to the federal investigation would be 'imminent' and that they are satisfied with the pace of the U.S. attorney's work.

Callis said "We want it to be right, not fast".

WWE are reportedly expecting the federal investigation into McMahon to unearth dirt on both McMahon and Laurinaitis. WWE talent and higher-ups are also looking to 'wash their hands' of McMahon ahead of the release of Netflix's Mr. McMahon documentary on September 25.

Janel Grant did not provide an interview for the documentary and has thus far made no public comment herself, instead choosing to speak through Callis and other representatives.

Kendra Barkoff Lamy, a spokesperson for Grant, said in a statement that Grant is "ready to move forward to get justice in the way she deserves".
