Hulk Hogan: I Would've Put Steve Austin Over Everywhere In WWE In 2002
"My whole goal was to have that run with The Rock and then focus on Stone Cold."

Hulk Hogan says he would have been happy to put 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin over had the two feuded in WWE in 2002.
Hogan would have a historic clash with The Rock at WrestleMania 18 but rumours persist that the original plan was for 'Stone Cold' to be the Hulkster's opponent in Toronto at that year's 'Showcase Of The Immortals'.
Having completed his rivalry with The Rock, Hogan had been hopeful of meeting Austin in the ring, only for The Rattlesnake to deal with injury woes before ultimately leaving the company until early 2003.
Hogan says, has the two worked together, he would have been happy to remain in his heel 'Hollywood Hogan' persona and put over a face Austin.
Speaking on the After The Bell Podcast, Hogan said: "My whole goal was to have that run with The Rock and then focus on Stone Cold. Because, as a heel, I could've put him over everywhere.
"If they could've put the belt back on me, he could've chased me. And like Stone Cold says, 'If there's money to be made, let's make it, brother.'
"That was my goal. It was to get him in that Hulk Hogan zone and make him realize - he'd been beat up pretty bad with his neck and a bunch of stuff - I just wanted him to realize the way you go to the ring, the way you feel, was the same way you're going to feel after working with me on the way back. It's going to be nice and easy, but we're going to tear the house down."
