Hideki Suzuki Given New WWE NXT Name

Hideki Suzuki has been given a new WWE name.

The former Pro Wrestling NOAH star made his WWE NXT debut on June 22 as a member of new faction Diamond Mine and his name was listed as 'Hachiman' during Roderick Strong's entrance on last night's show. Strong would go on to defeat Asher Hale in a three-minute squash match.

WWE filed a trademark for 'Hachiman' last week.

Suzuki has only been with WWE for a few months, having been officially signed as a Performance Center coach in April 2021. He trained as a professional wrestler at Japan's Snake Pit for four years. He then debuted in Inoki Genome Federation in 2008 and he would go on to wrestle for the likes of Big Japan Pro-Wrestling, Wrestle-1 and Ice Ribbon.

Suzuki spent 2020 wrestling for Pro Wrestling NOAH as a member of Sigiura-gun, as well as Real Japan Pro-Wrestling.

If Hachiman will step in the ring in WWE or just remain a coach remains to be seen.
