Gunther Reveals Heat With Bret Hart

Bret Hart is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be, and is also a notorious curmudgeon, with Hart not afraid to speak his mind on things in pro wrestling that irk him.

‘The Hitman’ had some choice words about Gunther's match against Sheamus at WWE Clash at the Castle in 2022, a match heralded by many as an instant classic, and ‘Der Ring General’ has shared his opinion on Hart, saying the following during an appearance on WWE’s The Bump:

“I think it's obvious that, in-ring, he's one of the best to ever do it. Very enjoyable. He was very popular in Germany and Austria. He was a big superstar there. I don't forget, and that man sat at my match in Cardiff and was not mentioning nice things after that, so he's not going to get anything nice with me. Too bad he's not in the state anymore to settle this in the ring," Gunther said.

Hart took issue with leg slapping during the Gunther vs. Sheamus Intercontinental Title match, saying he was ‘embarrassed’ by it.
