Last night, WWE invited a select number of fans to test the ThunderDome ahead of its launch on tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The new set will be used on all main roster programming for at least the next two months.

Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet posted multiple images of the completed set, and many have pointed out that it is reminiscent of the stadium used in the intro for SmackDown. Satin provided other details about the event as he revealed there were three matches during the show, Jake Atlas vs. Tehuti Miles, Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter vs. Jessi Kamea and Indi Hartwell, and Ridge Holland vs. Mansoor. The company tested many of it's previously announced production enhancements as well, including pyrotechnics, smoke, 3D graphics, and the drone camera shots which Satin noted: "look fantastic."

Tom Campbell also caught up with Fernando Escobar from the Half-Kay Podcast this morning. Fernando was invited to be part of the ThunderDome test yesterday and he revealed the company had Jake Altas come to the ring with Braun Strowman's entrance music and smoke, while Tehuti Miles used Gran Metalik's theme. WWE may have to alter the virtual fans, however, as Escobar mentioned he found the LED boards somewhat distracting during matches, especially when shots from the hard cam were being broadcast.
