The first two entrants for the Women’s Royal Rumble match have been confirmed, as former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler declared their interest on the January 28 edition of WWE Raw.
In a backstage interview segment with Charly Caruso, Jax outlined her resolutions for 2021 which included stopping Charlotte Flair from reaching the top of the Women's Division, regaining the Tag Titles with Baszler, and winning the Royal Rumble and going on to WrestleMania. Baszler was surprised by this news, but also declared her intention to enter the Rumble, with the Queen of Spades finishing as the runner up of the 2020 Rumble.
Later on in the night, Jax lost to Charlotte Flair by DQ when Baszler interfered, while Baszler defeated Dana Brooke before attacking Brooke and her partner Mandy Rose.
The Royal Rumble is scheduled to take place from the WWE Thunderdome at Tropicana Field on January 31, 2021. So far only Bobby Lashley and Daniel Bryan have been confirmed for the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
