Finn Bálor believes he has earned an opportunity for a Universal Championship Match at WWE SummerSlam 2021 and feels the match should be turned into a Triple Threat with Roman Reigns and John Cena.
Bálor had been set to sign the contract to face Reigns at SummerSlam 2021 on Friday Night SmackDown two weeks ago, only for Baron Corbin to attack The Prince before he could pen to paper.
The interruption allowed Cena to swoop in and sign the contract instead but Bálor still feels the opportunity is rightfully his, and believes he can compete with both Reigns and Cena at the Allegiant Stadium next weekend.
Speaking to the Independent, Balor said: "I don’t care if it’s a triple threat, Roman vs Finn vs John. I’m cool with it. That title match is rightfully mine.
“We don’t deserve anything in this life. You’ve got to work for it, earn it and fight for it. I do feel that a championship match vs Roman Reigns is something I have earnt. I deserve that opportunity to prove to everybody in the ring, without talk, when the bell rings, that we can settle it.
“I’m on a level to compete with anyone in the world. It doesn’t matter if it’s John Cena or Roman Reigns. I’m on a level to compete with anyone in the world. It doesn’t matter if it’s John Cena or Roman Reigns."
