Endeavor Not Expected To Be Involved In WWE Creative
Endeavor won't be interfering in WWE creative
May 4, 2023
WWE has already undergone major changes in 2023 following the announcement that the company had been sold to Endeavor in early April. WWE will merge with UFC under a new parent company by the end of the year.
It has previously been noted that Endeavor will oversee WWE in a similar way to UFC and WWE will be given freedom in how they operate, with Endeavor on hand to assist with boosting revenue.
One area that Endeavor won't interfere with is WWE creative, Nick Khan revealed during WWE's Q1 2023 earnings call.
"I can certainly represent emphatically to you on the creative [side] that there's no one at Endeavor or the UFC that has any interest in trying to interfere with that in any way whatsoever. I think Dana White would also represent to you that never or almost never -- I don't know the specifics but never would be my guess -- have the Endeavor folks told him 'You should do this match' or 'You should do it this way.' That's not what they do, that's not what they say they do, and that's not what they're gonna do," Khan stated.
WWE creative is currently headed-up by Vince McMahon, who reasserted himself at the top of the creative food chain following WWE's sale to Endeavor. Triple H remains WWE Chief Content Officer, although he no longer has the final say on creative matters.
