It was discovered back in October that Ember Moon had suffered an Achilles injury. Moon later appeared on the November 19th episode of WWE Backstage and she revealed half of her Achilles tore off the bone when it ruptured. She also confirmed she would be out of action for an indefinite period of time.

Moon was the guest on Tuesday's episode of Booker T's Hall Of Fame podcast

and she revealed how she suffered the injury. She explained it occurred back in September during a 24/7 title chase segment on SmackDown. As she ran through the curtain to chase after Carmella and R-Truth, she had to suddenly stop which ruptured her Achilles.

She said: "I'm getting ready to do SmackDown the next day and they were like, 'Hey Ember, you’re in the 24/7 title run because Carmella won the night before.' And I was like, 'Y'all sure? Y'all sure y'all need me for that?' You know what's weird is like when you know you have a bad feeling about something. So I had a feeling and I was like 'Oh, do we?' But, you know what, team player, screw it. I got this. I’m in.

"We do the run through and I told Truth, I was like, 'Truth, you better run, I'm going to catch you, Truth, if I catch you, I'm tackling you and you're going down.' And so when we actually did it, I literally caught them right before we went through the curtain. So they go through the curtain and they didn't realise how close I was behind them. As I'm coming through, the curtain shuts, I open it and go through. Truth is dropping Carmella and I'm going full speed and I had to hit the brakes. I was just like, 'Whoah,' boom and I felt a pop."

The former NXT Women's champion then explained that she didn't realise how bad the injury was until a few days later when she got home. When she got up at one point, she fell over and suddenly couldn't put any weight down on her foot. This prompted her to seek medical assistance and Moon is now on the mend.
