Edge performed at his first WWE house show in 10 years at December 26th's live event from New York City's Madison Square Garden.

WWE held a Raw house show at the famous arena on Sunday but several changes had to be made to the card due to the company's latest COVID-19 outbreak, with Big E, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins and Zelina Vega all missing the show.

With Big E and Rollins both absent, the scheduled WWE Title match between The Powerhouse of Positivity, Rollins and Kevin Owens couldn't go ahead, and WWE booked Edge in the main event slot instead as The Rated R-Superstar went one on one with Owens inside a Steel Cage.

Edge ultimately defeated Owens in a match that featured interference from The Miz and Damian Priest, pinning KO following a Spear.

Edge wrestling at Madison Square Garden was seemingly a last-minute decision and PWInsider noted the WWE Hall Of Famer was "rushed" to New York City so he could appear on the December 26 card. Edge himself acknowledged that he got a call on Christmas Eve to say he would be needed for the MSG show.

Raw wasn't the only brand affected by WWE's COVID-19 outbreak and Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Xavier Woods and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura missed SmackDown's live event in Tampa, Florida on Sunday.
