Drew McIntyre Tests Positive For COVID-19

WWE announced Monday afternoon that WWE champion Drew McIntyre has tested positive for COVID-19, and has entered quarantine.
The brief company statement on the matter simply reads, "Drew McIntyre has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been placed in quarantine. Check back to WWE.com for more updates as they become available."
No other details are known at this time.
McIntyre was scheduled to wrestle Randy Orton in a non-title match on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw. Understandably, that match is now off, as McIntyre will presumably be off TV for a minimum of two weeks.
Plans were moving toward McIntyre wrestling Goldberg at the 2021 Royal Rumble on January 31 in St. Petersburg. Since the match is 20 days away, it may remain unaffected by the positive test, and would be dependent on McIntyre clearing protocols before then.
This marks the second time a Goldberg match has faced possible alteration due to the ongoing pandemic. Planned WrestleMania 36 opponent Roman Reigns bowed out of the event due to immuno-compromisation in the wake of the novel virus.
