Drake Maverick Returns To WWE Monday Night Raw

Drake Maverick has made a return to WWE Monday Night Raw.

Maverick came back to the red brand on this Monday's episode of Raw following a lengthy run back in NXT. The former 24/7 Champion looked to confront the reigning champion, Reggie, as he fled from the usual field of pursuers after successfully defending the Title against Akira Tozawa.

However Maverick's old rival, R-Truth, would show up and was shocked at seeing Maverick back on Monday nights. R-Truth would tell Maverick, while it was good to see him, his timing was bad and it was R-Truth's time to reclaim the 24/7 Title.

Maverick’s time in the WWE 24/7 Championship scene in 2019 is very memorable, as his attempts to consummate his marriage produced some interesting television in the early days of the title’s history. Truth referenced this storyline during Maverick's return, telling him: "Go home to your wife."

Maverick teamed with Killian Dain on the black-and-gold brand up until Damo's release in June of this year.
