Charlie Haas "Hated" The Way His WWE Run Ended

Outside of a brief period in 2005 and early 2006, Charlie Haas spent 10 years in WWE from 2000 until his release in 2010.

While he enjoyed success early in his career in Team Angle and as one half of The World's Greatest Tag Team with Shelton Benjamin, Haas spent some of his final years with WWE as an impersonator, appearing as cosplay versions of the likes of The Great Khali, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan and Beth Phoenix. Then once the gimmick was dropped, Haas underwent a few more character changes before he was released.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show about his later years in WWE, Haas admitted he "hated" how his run with the company ended.

"I didn't know who I was and they could tell. They put all these characters on me and I did it in a way that I wasn't going to disrespect them. I was going to honour them, I did it to the best of my ability. I wasn't happy with the way it ended, I hated it. I wish my career could've gone better, I wish I had some IC title runs or the US title. I just didn't know who I was, I was lost and I was my own worst enemy," Haas said.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Haas recalled pinning Hulk Hogan in 2003 in a Six-Man Tag Team Match, which would be The Hulkster's only loss for eight years.
