Whilst performing as a wrestler can net you fame and money, it also comes at a price, as years of taking bump after bump takes its toll.

Many wrestlers often look outside of the industry to keep their careers fresh, and former WWE Champion Sheamus agrees, saying on Thefivecount how he may be planning on changing up his schedule:

“I think it’d keep it fresh, it’d be great to do acting a couple of months and then back in the ring a couple of months,” Sheamus said. “Adds to the longevity as well. So yeah, I love being in front of the camera whether it’s promos, backstage, or in the ring wrestling, or movies, or TV shows, whatever it is, it’s a fun job.”

Sheamus’ biggest non-wrestling role to date was that of Rocksteady in the live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows movie in 2016.

A former three-time WWE Champion, Sheamus has been with WWE since 2006, being called up to television in 2009 as part of ECW.
