The lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon by a former WWE employee may affect the company's plans for the return of Brock Lesnar.

Vince McMahon was accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse in a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant on Thursday, January 25. The lawsuit detailed several incidents of alleged abuse and a pattern of behaviour from McMahon that left "Ms. Grant crippled, both physically and mentally, including from debilitating symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and suicidal ideation."

Within the lawsuit, it states that McMahon informed Grant in July 2021 that a WWE talent (named by the Wall Street Journal to be Brock Lesnar) would be her next "playmate" as he was trying to re-sign the wrestler.  On July 12, 2021, McMahon allegedly directed Grant to produce "personalized sexual content" for Lesnar and he shared the photos with Lesnar.

On July 21, 2021, the WWE talent allegedly flew to Connecticut for a "business dinner" and a sexual encounter with Grant at McMahon's condo. Lesnar did not return to the condo, though, due to being too intoxicated. The lawsuit states that McMahon "continued to advertise a sexual encounter with Ms. Grant to WWE Superstar during the formal negotiation of a new Booking Contract with WWE." After Lesnar re-signed with the company, McMahon allegedly texted Grant saying "part of the deal was f*cking U."

In December 2021, McMahon allegedly gave Grant's cell number to Lesnar and the former WWE Champion later requested for her to send a video of herself urinating. Grant obeyed and Lesnar informed Grant "if she had not complied with the request, WWE Superstar would have lost any interest in her and then called her a 'bitch.'"

The lawsuit also states: "That same month, WWE Superstar expressed to Ms. Grant his desire to 'set a play date' and have a sexual encounter. However, a snowstorm changed WWE Superstar’s travel plans and Ms. Grant ultimately used the weather and COVID-19 as an excuse to back out."

Brock Lesnar came out of retirement and re-signed with WWE at SummerSlam 2021. He is currently off WWE TV but reports have indicated that WWE were planning to bring him back to TV in the near future.

According to Fightful Select, the Royal Rumble was originally discussed as a potential target date for Lesnar's return. This was reiterated on Thursday "but it was noted that in light of Lesnar's implied inclusion in the Vince McMahon lawsuit, that may change."
