During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Braun Strowman revealed he tore his meniscus at Survivor Series 2020. The Monster Among Men was involved in the Men's Survivor Series Elimination match on the show and he helped Team Raw pick up a clean sweep over Team SmackDown.

"I'm finally listening to my body. I used to be so worried about just getting big. I was on path to do a bodybuilding show until I tore my meniscus back at Survivor Series last year, and that put a damper on my cardio. A lot of this is mental, and I'm working to give people the absolute best I can," Braun said.

Reports at the time noted Strowman suffered a knee injury at the pay-per-view. He was scheduled to face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at TLC the following month but that match was shelved due to the injury and The Scottish Warrior faced AJ Styles instead.

The torn meniscus kept Strowman out of action until the 2021 Royal Rumble, when he made his return, but he found himself on the shelf again a couple of weeks later with a serious blood infection. The former Universal Champion then returned in late February and he now finds himself in the WWE Title picture heading into WrestleMania Backlash.
